Hurry with those slips!
All interested Year 6 scientists took slips home tonight. Ten enthusiastic pupils were back through the door by 3.45pm. 14 spaces left for after half term. Come at find me at the start of the day tomorrow.

Years 5 and 6...Science Club is coming!
After half-term, the first in a series of five week blocks of science club are beginning. I will be talking about it in more detail in assembly on Monday 6th October.
The club will be on a Thursday after school, running from 3.20pm-4.20pm. Due to the activities we have planned, we will only be able to have 24 children at the club. The first five sessions will be offered to Year 6. If there are places left, they will be offered to Year 5. Year 6 will be involved in 'Booster' sessions in the Spring term and therefore, it is only fair to offer the first club to them.
Here is the schedule we have planned:

- November 6th - Introduction and bulging jelly babies (Mrs Fenton and Miss Crompton)
- November 20th - 'Bubbles, bangs and burning' - held at Applemore College
- November 27th - 'What is DNA?' - led by Professor John and Dr.Judith Holloway
- December 4th - 'The mysterious and the gruesome!' - held at Noadswood
- December 11th - 'Fantastic Forces' (Brian Bell, Mrs Fenton and Miss Crompton)
